“In the Time of Spirits” is a photography exhibit curated by former Editor-in-Chief of LIFE magazine, Bill Shapiro. Featuring Five artist from five different countries.
“What I love about this show is that while the photographers come from five different countries, their work speaks the same language. They’re all flat-out gorgeous, but there’s a quiet spirituality to these pictures, a subtle surrealism that leaves you looking longer and harder. We’ve got a mix of long-established talent (Raúl Cañibano) but also emerging stars (Adeolu Osibodu and Avani Rai) and then two others making really interesting work that’s still very much under the radar. So we’re bringing quite a bit of talent and culture to Taos (and Santa Fe). I also like that we have a mix of color photography and black-and-white, and a good range of price points, from Raul’s ($2000 and up) to Lula ($200), and for some of these photographers, it’s the first time they’re being shown in the US, and every picture was chosen with the wall’s of Taos/Santa Fe in mind.”
